Elsa: Simple & feminine Guipure lace wedding dress








Love, love, love this dress!

This is another of my new Collection dresses called Elsa. It's a very simple and easy to wear dress, brilliant if you don't want to feel like your dress is wearing you, or for a simple country wedding or small venue perhaps?

Elsa is made from several layers of silk Georgette in the skirt and has a boned silk bodice overlaid with hand-cut Guipure lace. We love this lace because it has a lovely irregular edge.

Before I forget, it's the Secret Garden Wedding Marquee Open Day at Burwash Manor tomorrow. It's a lovely venue so do pop along and have a look if you don't have a venue yet. Andrew from Lightworks will be there too so go and say hello to him too!

I think what clinches it is it's so easy to wear, the little cap sleeves are very cute and feminine and the lace is lightweight and not too intense . I call it a 'skipping through the fields with daisies' dress! It can be made in various ways - as is, strapless, sleeveless or change the neckline shape if you like. I think this adaptability is what has also kept it such a popular design. 2017 Wedding dress bookings, timescales & info

It's already the last day of February! Where has that time gone? I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year! I thought I'd start this year's (delayed) blog post with some talk about 'time'. It fits in with several practical notes I want to discuss with you about my service. I hope you find this helpful if you're thinking of getting in touch or commissioning a custom made dress. It's a bit stream of conciousness, but hey, that's how things are around here! I am incredibly busy in the studio making dresses for 2017 weddings, and am already almost booked up for this year! This is great on many levels and yet not so great having to turn away potential customers. So I'm sorry if I couldn't book you in this year, I hate turning away brides, but I have to be realistic about what can be done and loyal to the brides already booked. Back to work

Easing back into regular work again. Just finishing two wedding dresses for separate weddings on the same day later on this month. I'll post some pictures as they become available and after the events. Among other wedding dresses, today I started work on two more gowns for later summer weddings this year, so have those to show you as they progress. I'm also very aware that there are many weddings from the latter end of last year that I've not got around to posting about yet. Everything in good time!
