Wedding dress making spring & summer 2018

Well...what a year.

Quite a lot has happened this year, not only lots of weddings, but alongside these, the main thing that happened is I moved out of my unit and back to my home studio here in my garden, which is where I was working before I took on the unit. The unit was a short and sweet experiment, but sadly it just wasn't working for me or my business - far too much noise and very high heating bills were stressing me out, so I decided to cut my losses and come back to my original purpose built studio. It all happened unexpectedly fast in fact, back in March with 2 weeks notice, and as with all things wedding, the show must go on!

So, I'm much happier now. My work space is peaceful again. I feel joy again! :-) My garden studio is smaller, but prettier, and I can concentrate! Bliss!

I'm still doing what I do - designing and making wedding dresses of all shapes, sizes and designs for my lovely brides, so if you're looking for a designer - dressmaker to help you realise your wedding dress dreams, then I'm your woman! I'm also working with mothers of the bride and groom on their outfits, so feel free to contact me if you're a mum looking for an outfit made for your daughter or son's special day.

Brides often ask me if I have dresses they can try on, and yes I do. Probably about 30 of them here, they are available to order (as you would do in a shop - the difference is I am making the design for you from scratch, here) or you can use my designs as inspiration for your own design if you like. Or of course you can completely ignore what's on the rail and bring me your ideas, or I can design for you.

I'm now taking bookings for 2019 and 2020, so please don't delay in getting in touch, especially if the wedding date is spring next year - time is getting tight and I have limited availability. Still spaces for next summer onward though.

Now wedding season is starting to calm down I will try to get back to where I left off on this blog back in March, with Lois's wedding dress journey, and everything that's happened since then, including a couple of photo-shoots (see above pic). But for now, hello again! I'm still here. :-) Xx
