'Fallon' wedding dress

 Fallon dress has a bodice made of ivory silk with an ivory and gold beaded lace applique. The skirt section is ivory silk with ivory organza draped overlay.

'Emily' 2-piece wedding dress
Emily 2-piece is an ivory strapless dress with an ivory lace over-shirt. You can see Emily here.



'Albertine' wedding dress



Albertine wedding dress is dark ivory ruched bodice with a rose print bust section, and a dark ivory silk skirt section overlaid with tulle.

I'm working hard on many things at once at the moment - why does that always seem to happen just as Christmas is looming? One of them being my new website which should be launched soon. Can't wait for that!

Promoting the new designs is top of my agenda, as well as promoting the design aspect of my work, so I've started some sketches of some of my new designs, which will also appear on the new website. In time, these items will be professionally photographed, but until then, it's sketches. I hope you like them...

OK, I was recently reading one of my favourite blogs The Coffee Lady and she used a great excuse for not posting regularly and referred to her last post of a few weeks back as 'just then'. Her excuse was that time travels faster as you age, to which I thought, how true is that? Summer bride

Here's Nisha, the summer bride in the title. Nisha is very petite and didn't want a dress to swamp her; she knew she would have a bespoke design and have it made for her. We went for quite a simple slim silk Dupion dress in ivory, with a pretty, twinkly lace overlay. The dress has a seam under the bust (empire line) which is really useful if you're petite, as it draws the eye upward and gives the impression of a longer waist and legs. The lace is an ivory base with 'latte' high-lights within it. Nisha's pictures were taken by photographer John Harris . I've mentioned him before - he really is very good. As I was looking at the photos I realised I was welling up; he really knows how to capture emotional moments perfectly. If you're a sentimental sort, best get some tissues handy for the next couple of shots! . . . . . . . . Aahhh :)

Something red

Here's Dawn. She knew what she wanted and that was a red wedding dress, with some pleats and beading on it! So I set to and made it for her :) It was good to make Dawn's dress for her because apart from the pleasure of making it, it was nice to have a change of colour in my studio. Ivory is always lovely for wedding dresses, but this was a gorgeous rich red, which made a change for me and made Dawn happy! Dawn married her chap on a summer day in Ely (you can see the Cathedral in one of the images above) on one of the days when it wasn't raining, and the vibrant green of the well rained-on grass contrasts really well with her dress colour, I think.
